14U & 16U Dryland - Patty or WV Track:

Hello parents and players! Since we have not been able to hold any ice this summer, I would like to get the kids together for some off-ice training.

This will be aimed at the U16 & U14 age groups. We will simply be meeting up, getting some cardio, plyometrics and stretching in, followed by a game.

Starting the week of July 5th we will be doing the Dryland Monday Nights at 7.  Location will vary between Patty Center and WV Track.

I would like to continue this for the remainder of the summer or until the rinks open up.  We will go for an hour.

I understand everyone is busy, so even if you can only be present for partial sessions, please come out!

I hope everyone is having a great summer.

12U Dryland - West Valley Track:

Hi hockey families!

I hope you are all healthy and doing well in this crazy and challenging environment.  In speaking with several of my fellow coaches and friends, I have heard that participation in summer sports is way down across the board.  At the same time our kids need some outlet for their energy, and they could all benefit from some more exercise and fun.  To help along those lines, starting Tuesday June 30, coaches Brad MacMillan and Sarah Middleton will be helping me run some dryland activities twice a week for the next couple of months.  We are going to try to make these sessions 1.5 to 2 hours long and focus on athletic movements, cardiovascular improvement and fun.  We will do some drills, but will also play several games each session.  These events are open to anyone interested in playing 12u hockey this year.  The sessions are free, and parents are welcome to stay and watch or drop their kids off.  You don’t have to commit to anything, just show up when it is convenient for you and your family.

Anyone parent or coach with a valid SafeSport is welcome to stay and help too!
