New Board President
Hockey Club Fairbanks is excited to announce that Megan Bunch was elected to be the Board President on April 29, 2026.
Megan takes the reins of the HCF Board from Luther Brice.
Luther has been a leader with HCF since its inception 10+ years ago. He has been involved in the Fairbanks and Alaska hockey community for more than 25 years as a Coach and Board Member with HCF, FAHA and Alaska Ice Breakers.
During his tenure the organization saw significant growth in player participation, expanded development programs, and strengthened partnerships across the local hockey community. The Fairbanks hockey community has been blessed by Luther's leadership, and we are grateful for all he has given us.
Since becoming a board member and treasurer in May 2020 Megan has completely revamped the HCF financial policies and procedures. She has been a driving force behind establishing policies that keep HCF fiscally responsible and transparent. She developed procedures that help teams clearly track their finances while ensuring they feel supported by both her and the organization. Her commitment to using sponsorship funds wisely has been unwavering, and under her leadership, the scholarship program has grown significantly—allowing many more players to benefit from financial assistance. Her husband has coached for HCF for several years and both of her sons play for HCF and Monroe HS.
The Board is excited for the future under Megan's guidance as President.
